Recruitment: Head Endurance Cycling Coach

SCF is looking for a TOP NOTCH Endurance Cycling Coach

Working Experience with equivalent level National Cycling Teams

and demonstrated Coaching Success advantageous.


Specific location:
Singapore
Full Time, 45 hours/week, some weekend work required, must be prepared to travel regionally.

Job Summary:
The Singapore Cycling Federation (SCF) is still on the look for an experienced, motivated and well qualified endurance cycling coach with a bias to Road and Track to work in the SCF.

This coach must have a working knowledge of power-based training, training plan design, and a high level of racing and coaching expertise.

He/She will be expected to personally coach athletes, interpret power data, work training camps and motor-pace athletes. He/She will be expected to travel with the team should it be required, be a motivator and be passionate about coaching and mentoring athletes. Excellent time management and organizational skills are a must.

It is expected that regular reports and Performance Updates as well as forward planning will be communicated to the ExCo and the Singapore Sports Institute (SSI) or to persons designated by them.

He/she will also be expected to work with the SCF to develop NCAP Level 1 and Level 2 Cycling Coaching courses and to implement effective Talent Identification programmes.

Director Sportiff experience will be a plus, as would experience with working with emerging cycling countries.

Applicant must be able to commence work in Singapore by no later than 1st November 2012.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Level 3 or Diploma or equivalent in Road/Track Cycling Coaching qualification from a recognized Cycling Federation that is affiliated to the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI).
  2. Minimum 2 years coaching experience with an equivalent National Cycling Team
  3. Experience training with a power-meter and analysis of such data
  4. Demonstrated coaching success

Employment and Compensation:
Remuneration commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Successful candidate would be expected to pay all their living and personal expenses out of their remuneration
