0730: Men’s Junior (born in 1994 and later), 1993 NOT eligible (24km)

0800: Women’s Elite (born in 1993 and earlier), 1994 NOT eligible (24km)

0830: Men’s U23 (born BETWEEN 1993-1990) 1989 NOT eligible (36km)

0900: Men’s Elite (born 1993 and earlier), 1994 NOT eligible (36km)

Eligibility to open to all CITIZENS and PR’s of SINGAPORE. PR’s must NOT have represented another country at an international UCI level race in the past 2 years as of 1st Jan 2012.

Riders who are participate in Men’s U23 WILL NOT be considered for the Men’s Elite category and vice-versa even if they meet the age criteria.

Riders MUST ensure that ALL their equipment adhere to UCI Technical rules pertaining to Time Trial Bicycles and the Rider position on the bike.

Juniors MUST ensure that their gearing conforms to the MAXIMUM roll-out ratio as stipulated in the Rules and Regulations.

The WINNER of each category will be the Singapore Cycling Federation’s 1st choice NOMINATED rider to the 2012 Asian Cycling Championships held in KL, Malaysia.
Each Country can ONLY be represented by ONE rider per category for the Individual Time Trial event.

The SECOND and THIRD placers of each category will be our 2nd and 3rd choice RESERVES in the event that the WINNER declines or is unable to compete.

The WINNER of each category will ALSO be given ONE automatic PLACE in the respective ROAD  RACE of the 2012 Asian Cycling Championships held in KL, Malaysia. FAILURE to participate in the Individual Time Trial event at the 2012 ACC will renegade the ROAD RACE spot on the FOUR Man/Woman ROAD RACE Team.

The SCF Cycling NCAP Integrated Programme Level 1 is catered for people to get started on the specifics of Coaching in Cycling.  This course is recognized by Singapore Sports Council (SSC) as the National Coach Accreditation Programme (NCAP).

We are looking for interested parties who have a passion in cycling and coaching. This is a 3 full day course that will be held at Tampines Bike Park.

Topics will include: Role of a Cycling Coach, the energy demands of the different categories of cycling, the planning of training, etc.

Interested to Attend?

All parties interested in Cycling in Singapore, in particular Cycling Clubs, Cycling Teams, Coaches and of course Cyclists themselves are welcome to attend our first Annual General Meeting as the SINGAPORE CYCLING  FEDERATION.

As part of the Any Other Business we will be presenting our thoughts for 2012. These may have an impact on how you organise your cycling activities for 2012. During the presentation, we will invite your feed back on what will be proposed.

SINGAPORE CYCLING FEDERATION

Track use will be FREE at least till 31st March 2011.

In order to use the track the rider needs to be ‘Certified’ as suitable to use the track.

The Singapore Sports Council (SSC) and the Singapore Amateur Cycling Association (SACA) have arranged for qualified ‘Certifiers’ to conduct these tests on Saturday 29th January and Sunday 30th January. The BMX track will be open only for the conduct of these tests on those two days.

The fee for the test is $ 30 (non refundable)

Candidates will need to attend a presentation covering:

* An introduction to the Tampines Bike Park (TBP)
* An introduction to the sport of BMX
* A Video on Good and Bad BMX riding
* Rules and Regulations on the track
* Safety aspects of Riding on the BMX Track
* Proper Rider protection gear and Helmet fitting.

There will be a short Theory Test covering the above.

Candidates will then undertake a practical test covering:

* Bike and Helmet fitting
* Riding ability and Safe Riding

Candidates who do not pass the test can apply to be retested after a minimum of two weeks. A new Test fee will need to be paid for the retest.
