UCI World Championships For Masters and Amateurs Road Race

UCI has granted the Singapore Cycling Federation a total of 10 slots for all categories on offer:
Men and Women
- 1. 16 – 29 (Challenger Class) aka. Elite Amateur
- 30 – 34
- 35 – 39
- 40 – 44
- 45 – 49
- 50 – 54
- 55 – 59
- 60 – 64
- 65 years and ABOVE
Riders are not allowed to have represented their country in a UCI sanctioned Championships in the last 4 years:
- SEA Games
- Asian Games
- Commonwealth Games
- Olympic Games
- Asian Championships
- World Championships
Team Selection:
The Singapore Cycling Federation would like to open applications to this unique and inaugural UCI World Masters and Amateur Road Championships.
- Riders must have a valid UCI licence applied through the website: www.cycling.org.sg
- Riders will bear all costs related to travelling to the Championships as well as Entry fees
- Each slot granted entitles participant to take part in either or both the Road Race and Time Trial events in your age category
- Representatives of Singapore will be open to all Singaporean Citizens and Permanent Residents.
- Allotment of slots: 5 Citizens, 5 PR’s . Should the number of Citizen slots be not fully subscribed, PR’s are more than welcome to utilise the remaining available slots
- Registration close date to SCF: 5pm 5 August 2011
- Jerseys must have the Singapore Flag represented
Selection Criteria:
- Please email a full list of your best 4 race results/accomplishments in the last 2 years to: hpm@cycling.org.sg, cc: admin@cycling.org.sg
- Please state the age category you will qualify for (based on year of 2011) and which events you intend to represent Singapore
- Representatives who have been selected must place a refundable deposit of SGD300 at time of confirmation of slot. This deposit will be refunded within 10 days of your return to Singapore from the Championships
Additional Points:
- UCI regulations are required to be followed, but will not be as strictly enforced as the Professional World Championships
- Representatives selected are allowed to advertise for their respective clubs and sponsors but are ultimately representing Singapore.
- We expect the highest codes of conduct and ethics from the team sent to the Championships
