Singapore National Championships are here!

The highlight of Singapore’s competitive Cycling Calendar for every year is the Singapore National Championships. The crème de la crème, debutants, young aspirants, under dogs all converge for their respective competitions to find the top Singaporean rider for their age group in their discipline.

Suspense, blood, sweat and tears are all part of the drama for each of the events. All this for the honour and glory of being THE BEST and to be crowned the Singapore National Champion.

This year there will be National Championships in Road, BMX and Mountain Bike. The excitement starts with the Road Bikes taking place over the weekend 23rd / 24th June followed by the MTB events on the 1st July and finally the BMX events on the 15th July.

Registration for the ROAD events is now open!

From last year’s technical and highly elevated course at Kent Ridge we move over to Tampines Bike Park where both X-Country and DH disciplines will be fought out.

The X-country track at Tampines is known to be extremely muddy when raining and scorching hot when it’s not, the riders will require both endurance and skill to maneuver the rocks and climbs. Will the weather be the telling factor or will the rider with the best handling skills and fitness prevail?

The DH track has been newly cut out at the N Parks adjacent to the Tampines Bike Park. It’s so new it has not yet been put to use. There will be no ‘Home’ advantage making this truly a level playing field for all the participants. A ‘level’ playing field for a ‘Downhill’ race, let’s see if that’s true!

FOUR championship categories are on offer.

If all you want to do is enjoy yourself and prove something to yourself – there’s always the SPORTS categories enjoy the experience and avoid the pressure.

To spice up the bike festive, the much in demand Bike Demo Day is back. Spectators, riders may test ride the new offerings from the industry, performing real world test on some of the latest bikes!
